Around mid 2006 Big Sky Credit Union decided to make some improvements and wanted to change our core banking system but our existing provider was unable to meet our needs. We therefore needed to seek an alternative solution.
It made sense to continue to outsource this aspect of the business to IT specialists with the appropriate skills and knowledge rather than trying to recruit and developing our own support team to manage the system.
There have certainly been marked improvements in our efficiencies since engaging The System Works. In addition to the improvements to our core banking system we were also able to improve our online capabilities through moving to a Citrix metaframe which enabled a thin client environment. This takes our entire core computing functions off site to a mainframe server hosted by The System Works.
